I had a "this is my word" when I realised that despite being on the autistic spectrum, it was always the same moral busybody mother or sociologist that kept on trying to determine boundaries in language. The same goes for "spastic", until I can teach others not to wilt at words.

please do one on "crazy" and "you guys" both of which are faux pas in, uh, certain lefty circles but i observed that literally everyone else does not give a fuck about either of them. anecdata of course.

Its funny that that word was created to replace another word that had become pejorative.

The same amount. I've been saying the word retarded for as long as I can remember.

I'm as comfortable with saying it as ever but people around me aren't, so I've had to say it less. Would that count as same or less

I’m fine saying it in front of close friends and family, but fear confrontation from the random unexpected person that’s sensitive to it, so I’ve been avoiding it in public spaces.
