when i was like 14 I read Modern Physics and Ancient Faith, which taught me about the red shift and convinced me the earth was older than 6k years. The next week I went to a homeschool convention, excited at my new discovery, and slung debates wildly into all the booths.

There is that one theory that God created all the light from the stars at the same time and made some of the stars aged as we perceive them or whatever.
I'm Christian, but that's too far for me.
