I don't understand why inequality is inherently bad. It seems fine to me. Force is bad, and sometimes inequality is created through force - but inequality is not *in and of itself* bad. I often (not always) interpret people who dislike inequality as envious and dissatisfied.

Inequality (of various forms) is the reason USA is more religious than its HDI economy equivalents. Inequality also means an incidence of UNEARNED PRIVILEGE. Ethically, its unjust. Sure you can't completely wipe it out but we must strive for pure meritocracy as much as we can.

Rising inequality also means rising capabilities of a few to subvert resources to their private benefit and potential detriment of society. The potentiality means that it will (and does) happen.
