Just got off a phone interview with a psychiatrist to discuss me having autism. It was terrible. He assumed a lot about me and kept getting hung up on "You had a traumatic childhood and now you're a sex worker". Does anyone have recs for sexworker-friendly psychiatrists?

You're already out of school and there's no drugs for autism so a diagnosis wouldn't really change anything.

Just point anyone who doubts you to your Twitter
I tell people I’m pretty aspie and they tend to get the point. Not sure an official diagnosis is necessary. It’s also going to be harder to get bc autism presents differently in women. It’s underdiagnosed -
Most psychiatrists can’t do an autism eval anyway, so if that’s what you’re looking for you should do a specific search. Not sure I can help you find anyone but maybe try the reddit aspergers sub for suggestions.

Your father was really smart right? I've never seen you off beat. I don't think you're hot either. heheh No reason to think being so conflicted means somethings wrong. It's normal. Stop searching!

I’m not a doctor, but i stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. Definitely on the spectrum.... tell anyone you want. Hope that helps. Seriously, if you think saying it will make your interactions better; say it. If it doesn’t help, don’t say it.

I have some autistic traits, but I never sought a formal diagnosis because, if I were diagnosed positive, people could use this fact about me to dismiss any opinion I have on anything.
