Aella says "as you know", but I've noticed that a lot of the people who get mad at her when her polls go viral obviously don't know her backstory. Her backstory is actually fucking fascinating and almost perfectly positions her to be a social/cultural investigator

Eg when Aella asks questions like "why is bestiality bad" – people say things like "wtf?!?! that's obviously a fucking bad-faith question, bestiality is OBVIOUSLY bad" – but you have to see that she grew up in an environment where that would've been true re: homosexuality

I'm planning on writing and publishing a memoir. I don't know if I can do it but I'm hoping it'll happen once my return to sex work settles down.

awww thank you. I feel like my life is very slowly rolling me into writing this. It's really hard because writing large-scale personal things is hard but even little tweets like this I think actively increase the chance that I will do it.

It is well known that literature builds empathy. Reading enables us to wonder about the lives of the characters in our books. The internet makes actual lives (very different from our own!) accessible. It enables us to build empathy via interaction. You get to talk and to listen.
