My biggest gripe with LessWrong culture is its almost universal humorlessness. It's shocking how few jokes Rationalists make, and how many they don't get. You don't see this critique made often because the only people stodgier than rats are those who hate and sneer at them.

I posted this bit on Facebook and while my non-rationalist friends are just reacting with 🤣 emojis or trying to "yes, and" the joke, very smart Rationalists are talking about the licenses you need to truck oil from Cushing to New York.

Every other community I've been a part of did skits, or funny videos, or wrote a satire magazine. This includes business school and my military unit, which did all three. But I can't get Rationalists to do any of that. Is anybody else out there looking to make Rationality funny?
