So i'm confused by this - I don't know what 'female box' is supposed to do. Like, I am not very feminine. I have a pretty masculine brain, androgynous interests. I feel like 'boy' is a much better match for my internal world. But I look like a girl and this shapes a lot.
Maybe nonbinaries don't like existing as a category surprise? They want to be very unsurprising in relation to their apparent categories?

Also, I strongly suspect societal gender is more predictive of what it means to be predictive of for nonbinary people than nonbinary people might be aware of? Like, I know one afab nonbinary person who I find I understand much more accurately through the context of 'woman.'

gender is an incredibly significant cultural shibboleth, and one where a *lot* of people enforce their expectations as normative, instead of just being predictive - being a category violation of gender is (I suspect) something most trans and nb people have trauma from.
