I don't think they're really different? Like, obviously there are differences, like all comparisons have differences, but the similarities here are precisely the thing I'm talking about.

A big part of my thinking revolves around identifying "actual harm". This is still a grey area and I'm not claiming I have concrete answers, but there's at least a spectrum, and things too far on the other side of the spectrum for "imagined harm" are things I give into less.

I get that - but harm doesn’t always come in the form of violence or threats. If for you- imagined harm is this type of concept where individuals are feeling personally attacked by a general opinion - I urge you to my tweet about autistic ppl feeling a collective identity
