And this intense knee-jerk reaction I'm seeing about "EUGENICS=BAD" just... like... ok yes i understand that it has been used for very bad things but that does not inherently make it bad. You seem to be ok with people aborting down syndrome fetuses, so at least be consistent.

Probably something like... (if I were pro government doing things at all) if the government paid people with very severe, highly heritable genetic illnesses a stipend if they didn't reproduce. Noncoercive, doesn't take away anything from anyone, seems ok?

Sure. Coercion is way worse than bribery imo. My entire political philosophy is centered around reducing coercion - or, rephrased, minimizing the use of force. It then becomes extremely important what we mean by coercion or force.
