I think it's upsetting because it gives validity to people who make arguments that other sets of things are good because of the genitals of the people in that set.
Like, now someone could point out a similar statistic about how men are superior than women.
I don’t think this has to be true if one distinguishes marginal and average. If the bar is higher for a group, we might expect them to be better in the positions they do attain, so more inclusion of people in that group will get the *marginal* members who are still above average
