don't understand how the counterfactual is supposed to be implemented, IMO people aren't born with ADD/ADHD https://drgabormate.com/book/scattered-minds/ …pic.twitter.com/5jW02EWXEU

Yeah I think I meant "never get ADHD" I'm just doing a series of polls and wanted wording to be the same

It would be very, very interesting to push the button and see if the future rates actually changed. Since the qualifier is "born with ADD/ADHD", those who develop it would still exist.
-
Dangit I meant "ever end up with it" bit was trying to be consistent with my polls.

We don’t know much about how ADD/ADHD minds uniquely contribute to our society. Could be a net negative but somehow I doubt it.

It’s interesting how many people that don’t have it would wish it upon someone else... as someone who does have ADD I wouldn’t wish it on anyone! It’s something I can’t change about myself but it has caused me to struggle more than a normal person would in alot of ways.

Exactly. I was so surprised to see to what extent people take their beliefs to remain politically correct. I am 10 kg underweight. It's okay I know. But boy do I waste a lot of time trying to not be underweight. Why would I want people to be underweight even if I am not?

Michael Phelps has ADHD. Adam Levine has ADHD. Adversity is universal in life and it can also be universally used to create good things.

Youuuu wanna stretch that argument to other things?
