Most of the serious meditation people I've run into have been men. Is serious meditation actually gendered in this way or do I just have a skewed sample?

To apply the crudest of analogies, the traditional roles are: women are core infrastructure, men are experiments. Core infrastructure requires less variance and more connectivity. Experiments require more variance, and less connectivity to reduce their potential blast radius.

Extroversion/introversion prevalence is about the same for both sexes, and the number of friends men and women have seems to be about the same (from various studies). That seems to be at odds with the "blast radius" idea.
