i mean i assume, much like most jobs, that people who really don't want to do sex work will continue not doing sex work.

So you'd be totally cool with the government assigning you clients and threatening to pull your health insurance (or worse, deny any future employment) if you decline to service one of them for whatever reason? Because that's quite a nightmare scenario if things go wrong

Right. Except if the government provides funding for these services they're effectively the ones "in charge". So if a rejected client decides to file a lawsuit stating discrimination on the basis of looks or disability or anything, they will file against the government, not the..
