I wrote yesterday about the woman in pink +4 being used entirely for hateful anti-poly bigotry, but deleted the tweet because apparently a lot of people hadn't seen that story and I didn't want to give it any traffic. Half of Hollywood are in open relationships ffs.
I'm fine with people arguing that polyamory is a challenge to stability. That's probably true, and stability is not the most important thing. But I hate people trying to make polyamory *ugly*, like racist cartoons used to do. It starts with language.
This is not super charitable, but I actually agree with the overall point. One should aspire to a coterie of paramours, not a polycule of secondaries. Polyamory will take over via superior aesthetics. twitter.com/MorlockP/statu…
Stability is super important for kids, and I really dont care about consenting adults being in poly relationships, but when any one of them wants child in that environment, I'm super skeptical and concerned for the child's welfare.
The poly parents I've known seem either just as good or possibly better at this compared to monogamous parents. Not saying perfect - monog parents very often divorce so the bar is low - but it doesn't seem especially different.
