shake up the mate pool, or change what "in their league" means, that the person's attraction will naturally revert to being triggered by the same top narrow percent. This feels true because everyone I know seems to be attracted to roughly the same amount of people.

This is different for men and women ofc, but when adjusting for that, these "attraction pools" seem roughly the same size. Is this a thing? Have people studied this? I want to know the size and variance of this "top narrow percent" is. I'll accept anything even slightly related.

Sure, this is true - but I'm thinking about this specifically regards to "in your league". After all, you see traditionally unattractive people who appear to be successfully attracted to each other regardless of the existence of the absolute top hot.

I think "in their league" is too subjective too looks and not enough about emotions. People eventually find their mates by finding their type.
-
Hmm not necessarily. When I think of this expression, I think in terms of not just looks but also intelligence and to some extent, social status. Whereas emotional connection has nothing to do with "leagues", it's something that simply HAS to be there for the spark to happen.

Recalibrate self-image, shift league up, and walah.

What kind of attraction are we talking bout here?

"League" has never been something I've taken into consideration. I dated a multi-Grammy award winning artist and someone who was homeless within the same year.
