This idea of for law is so unrelated to any legitimate policy objective I can think that it must be real. I don't think you would've thought of this a just a useful thought experiment. The law is too poorly thought out.

This might be a weird take, but even if someone is a pedo, that doesn't mean they've abused someone or have taken part in the consumption of content with abuse of children. (I make a clear distinction) I also abhor government overreach so no to this law thing.

Why on Earth would I do that? I WANT pedophiles to have lots of sex with consenting adults! You can’t change someone from being a pedophile, but you can prevent them from becoming a child molester and healthy sexual relationships with fellow adults are a key component to that!

If they’re convicted of being a pedophile then absolutely. I would introduce a black mirror style system so everyone who sees them just sees a red blob and they see only grey blobs. Really remove their ability to interact with the world. But that’s me
