Dude the online trans crowd is the most uncharitable, cruel group I've ever encountered. Had to block a hundred people calling me a piece of shit this morning.

Would it work if I were much clearer then? Like I don't want them to misinterpret me as thinking they're subhuman, so I'm super careful and clear about how I communicate my thoughts?

no that is not literally my framework. If you'd prefer that to be my framework so you can have an easier time making fun of it then go ahead, but then neither of us should be under the illusion that you're actually communicating to me about what I think.

It doesn't matter how polite or generous you are to them, or how clear you are that they are not subhuman. This "framework" they're referring to is reality itself. Don't let yourself be gaslit, they're the ones who have a problem with reality, you did nothing wrong.

There's nocommon ground. It has zero to do with your (or anyone else's) view of them. It's all about them. The way they see themselves and then looking for others to validate that view. Once you validate/accept, their stance changes and you're still wrong. All about attention.

I image you’d be in favour for equal rights for trans people. For all people of course. That they can live without fear and prejudice. Who wouldn’t want that? But TRAs can’t force the dogma that trans women are women on people because that’s simply not true.

there's a disagreement in this thread over what is a sign of disrespect, fundamentally. The trans audience you're asking clarification from has communicated that they receive not using preferred pronouns as disrespect (that they feel violates their human rights -> "subhuman").
