Some of my friends do this facial move where they blink very rapidly for a second or two, usually accompanied by a mild squint, usually to indicate confusion/introspection/surprise.
All of these friends are asian - is this an asian culture thing, or is my sample size just low?

I don't think there's such a thing as asian culture. Asia is a third of the world...

I do it whenever I am thinking really hard. I used to do it a LOT in math class.
