I believe covd is bad and real. But a tiny part of my brain is like, naaaah, it's not real, it's fake like a movie. And I'm like, wtf brain, don't you see these horrific front line videos? And my brain is like naaaah germs are probably fake too, handwashing is just superstition

I honestly feel like a part of my brain does not believe in germs, bacteria, viruses, or anything small. It thinks all the science and microphotography are just good world building like Lord of the rings but is ultimately a cute fantasy.
Some parts of my brain are retarded.

Oh, it is bad and real, without question.
That does not mean that the present solution was the best way to handle it. That's what me AND my brain agree on.

Sometimes atheists say religious people don't really believe in heaven, since they treat death as being super bad. A good response I heard was this: evolve a population in a room with an impenetrable glass barrier, give the share on one side a horrible, normal life...

Germs are as real as sunshine. I find it amusing how people don’t understand that we are completely surrounded by germs just like water and oxygen.

I have the same thing for places I haven't been. Like I know Antarctica exists, people have been there, planes regularly fly over it, we can see it from space. But what if it were all just an elaborate hoax? Like Santa but for grown ups. The Truman Show continent.
