Just today, actually. Not a long fight or that loud or anything, but it was solely because of situations created by the coronavirus.

I have had a couple of rather heated discussions with an antivaxxer friend who think this is a conspiracy to force us to take vaccines and to take away our liberty. But we are still cool. I can't force him to agree with my opinion (ie this is a rogue virus and we need a vaccine).

Regarding liberty, I say to my friend. But why what will "They" gain from this. Him: "To control us!" Me: "But why? For what purpose?" Him: "To control us" Me: "Yes what will "They" gain from that. Him: "To control us" Me: We are going around in circles.

I wouldn't call it a fight but my father and I certainly stated different opinions and disagreement about the topic. By now, I think he might actually have changed his mind from the all too common "just like the flu" talk.

This early? No, just disapproving looks and light nagging.

I love my bubble, where we're all rational or rational-adjacent, and nobody is trying to convince anybody that we should just go ahead and infect old people because we love restaurants, etc.

I'm pissed at my friend for going ahead with his wedding and probably spreading the virus into a new part of the country with a lot of older people.
