This is an interesting article, thanks for sharing. I agree with most what is said, except a tangential point: Facebook is now so big that it controls the livelihood or social life of many people, no longer “opt-in”, and therefore should not be allowed to hold private justice.

This is too easy. There are countless people for whom just "changing your mind" on an irrational belief is out of reach. So while I agree we should not validate what we believe to be invalid, we should tread very carefully when invalidating, and first consider the if and the how.

By directly invalidating we are simply hardening the fronts. The Uluru example is perfect: "sacred" is a religious term, a specific context outside of which it has no meaning. Employing the term for Uluru has huge meaning for the people who care. For those who don't, small harm.
