The outbreak of a pandemic and/or a bioweapon was *entirely* forseeable. As was the 2008 crisis. As was 9/11. As I have said almost constantly for years: we have SYSTEMATICALLY selected for the wrong experts & leaders for between 30 to 50 years. We need to replace our experts.

Maybe this is besides the pot, but if previous disasters were foreseeable, does this mean future disasters are currently foreseen, and if so by whom and do you know what they are?

I think the point he was trying to make is that we know that certain things are possible and we can prepare for them. For example, we may not know precisely what the severity of the next hurricane that will hit FL is, or specifically where it will make landfall... But we damn 1/3

Damn sure know a hurricane is going to hit FL next year, if not the next. Obviously we couldn't predict exactly covid19 but we can better prepare for these sorts of situations in general. I mean if you look at the incompetence displayed by the FDA in late February, you get 2/3

Astro-physicists have been warning those who'll listen about asteroid collision for decades. Authors such as Arthur C Clarke wrote books about the virtue of never being too early to get a warning system and screen array project funded, even if the technology isn't developed yet.

San Francisco earthquakes? Everything https://granolashotgun.com/  talks about? AGI risks? I'd be interested in more (and better) answers to your question.

Martin Armstrong's Socrates accurately forecast events far in advance yet our gov continues to suppress him. gov & corps are calling him into Situation Room to sort out troubles but too late. System needs to crash&burn as its the only way to remove corruption besides resolution

We know there is risk, but we don't know what problem will hit us or when. We are chronically ill-prepared for whatever might arise, and we ignore the risk until things turn against us. It's like saying Russian Roulette is safe because look, I pulled the trigger and didn't die.

Yes hello, I am one of the experts he's referring to. I foresee a future disaster where I remain a virgin with no girlfriend. This is a scary scenario but can be avoided through collective cooperation and focus on the real issues. We must act before it's too late.
