As in picking up clients without preplanning, in person - can be stuff ranging from "dressed up nice drinking cocktail at casino" or "knock on your car window"

I would guess that the larger the sample size, the lower the number in this specific field of work. But that's a guess.

I would imagine it bifurcates into those making little, and those making a lot. That makes getting the median tricky. Somehow I think it's still likely pretty low.

My guess would be that the distribution is long tailed: there will be lots of people who see a few clients a month as a side gig, so the median will be low. The mean would be quite a bit higher.

Gonna depend on hours. Average rate UK probably around £100-£200, but I haven't a clue how many clients they are getting. 5 a week would be £2-4k a month, maybe more if some are longer appointments. But I imagine many independents do it as a side hustle.
