I started to say "I do no-poo" or "I intermittent fast so that'll be easy", but realized at the last second that she's not asking me if it'll be easy, she's not making conversation, she just has to go down this list with me. I was surprised that I didn't immediately get this.

AL lot of people actually say the thing you almost did, so I'm sure she'd take it in stride because she's used to it. Whenever I'm in the hospital with a relative they do it and I'm always thinking "we're just wasting time here"
