Got LASIK 1 week ago; they did not tell me it was important to wear sunglasses after surgery, and if I don't it can lead to permanent haze and glare. I didn't wear sunglasses after surgery; I currently have pretty bad glare (tho still normal 1 week in). How fucked am I?

Well assuming that henceforth you have been wearing shades to mitigate any further haze or nausea, I'd do a search for optometrist clinics in your area for a consultation. We're all supportive, but there's little we can do to actually help besides listen.

However, this is still very early days. You need to allow a few weeks, to a few months before you'll notice improvements. Perhaps lay off worry and assess the situation in the Summer. If the haze persists later this year, take further action.

You need to escalate. Call back and insist on talking to the actual doctor about the issue.

That is a very Karen response. This would not be sensible. Getting another opinion in the coming weeks to months would be more prudent.
