I'm so sorry. That's really scary

I can’t promise this is true for you, but when I got LASIK there were weird effects on my vision that faded away over time. Some quickly, some over years. They’re all gone now. And my understanding was that this was normal.

Don't panic. Do as the sage, reasonable Aella would, and get professional advice. You'll be alright lass.

I called the office where I got it done and it was a very unperturbed person with a strong accent who just neutrally repeated "you should wear sunglasses"

Not very, I had some haze a week in but it went away after a month or so

After my surgery, I was never told to wear sunglasses for any reason other than eyes may be light sensitive. If you have glare and haze, it's probably due to wrinkly cornea from squinting or rubbing. I was blurry in 1 eye for 2-3 months.

You’re fine, just rest your eyes and use plenty of drops

I experienced glare and occasional haziness weeks and even months after surgery.

And it turned out alright eventually.
