"Wretched" sounds like it could be a compliment, sort of like "dude, that's sick" - I want to hear "Dude, that move was WRETCHED"

Well, remember that "wicked" used to be a vernacular superlative at one point.

It's a little harsher than sick, hopefully it will take longer to get watered down.
