When movies show a traditional gender roles world (like, historically or culturally), and then the women rise up and Do Feminism, I just don't buy it. I was raised in a super traditional gender roles world and I didn't see a single woman around me Doing Feminism.

My dear, it seems you were quite fortunate in your upbringing being taught values, common sense and the value of, and the ability to use critical thinking. Much of todays 'Woke' culture wasnt so lucky.

One thing I notice from within US Christianity is that a lot of harmful traditions fly in the face of an even older way of doing things. Much criticism against evangelical Christianity is actually against assimilated 1900s culture. Ritual is healthy, tradition should be tested.

You see some self-correcting behavior with the 'house church' movement. It's now "counter-culture" to forgo the large crowds, and the elaborate performances, in order to meet in personal homes and intimately pursue God together... like recorded in Acts (first 100AD).

Love this series of comments. There are plenty of examples of strong women who absolutely crushed it within the confines of their society and it's issues. We don't need this BS ideological rewriting of history to try to push some ridiculous 4th wave agenda.
