It's not a direct effect, and having no effect on third parties wasn't part of the premise. For example, if I decide to get an abortion, that will make my family extremely sad, but my decision "belongs" to me.

It's not a baby at that point, just a conglomeration of microscopic cells. I probably kill way more living (skin)cells when I have a bad itch and scratch my arm.
