I have a strong avoidance to hanging out with people one on one, difficulty responding to messages and emails (to the point I've hired an email assistant to keep my life from crashing). Lots of people think I don't like them because I appear to be ignoring them. I wish there were

a concrete term I could use to give people so they understand "it's not you, it's me" instead of me having to awkwardly explain my weird brain problem every time

It is a weird brain problem; the negative response I get to it indicates that they aren't used to experiencing someone who doesn't respond so much; typically when this happens it means someone doesn't like them. If lots of people were like me there'd be less confusion.

That seems depressing. If lots of people didn’t respond to one another there would also be a lot less connection, which is already a problem in our society. Not sure if you mean actual friends or followers but most aren’t competing with 40k ppl. Its not abnormal 2b overwhelmed.
