To be fair, I didn't mention this in my post, but a good chunk of these same men would not be ok dating a woman who had sex with other men for any reason

Counterpoint: Having sex with new people can release such a strong chemical cocktail that it is akin to taking drugs. The monogamy contract has acted as an inhibitor against this by shaming the taking of the drug and making access to it less possible via criminalization.
