I suspect most systemic oppression is a myth. But it's very commonly used as an important concept in America, and I wanna make sure I'm not missing anything - can someone steelman systemic oppression for me - what it means exactly, and if that definition is supported by data?

Systemic oppression would be something like "lots of cops assuming black people are up to no good" Systematic oppression would be "CBP doesn't have to obey the 4th Amendment within 100 miles of the coast"

Or the fact that cops can take all your money when they pull you over as “drug money” and the majority of people they pull over are black people.
