Men are assaulted by strangers more than women are. I don't get the disparity, where women are much more scared of strangers than men are. It seems like either hysteria or a stiff upper lip, depending on which gender we wanna blame here
I haven't looked into this wrt to pure assault but last time I researched domestics assault statistics the rate of admittance to emergency rooms was way higher for women than for men even though the rate of assault was around the same, implying women are more in danger of injury
we're a few layers deep into 'i remember the stats said' land, but if i'm goin with it then could this be due to the fact men are much less likely to seek medical attention overall?
1. Yes, men are less likely to seek medical attention, or report abuse.
2. In general, men are able to exert more force (strength) than women and inflict greater injury.
However, weapons are the equalizer.
