1 by far. That has happened SOOO many times in all of my life it is a phrase that just makes me utterly scared so badly.

        1 means it's a problem with me. 2, 3 means it's a problem with you.

That's why it's the least scary. If there's a problem with me, at least I might have some measure of control.

So much gravity behind 1. 2 tends to be something the sharer is more scared of sharing than the heater is of hearing ala “I was married before”. 3 tends to be a scary incident that was already handled ala “the kitchen was on fire but it is not anymore, and everyone is alive”

My impression of 3 is more... "I did something stupid and I've come to tell you about it", whereas 1 is "i have *grieviences*".

All three are really bad. We’re talking sweaty palms, palpitations, and rapid breathing levels of really bad.

I seem to be in the minority, but 1 doesn't bother me at all. I don't have a reputation of freaking out, so if anyone ever said 3 to me it means something *real* bad.
