The deepest value for me, when it comes to more abstract political philosophy, is minimizing the use of violence. A system which uses the least violence possible on people satisfies my value system the most, even when it comes at the cost of other things I also value.

Brings up a good point though. Even when we have the liberty to do whatever we want, there will be people sho disagree and are not afraid to force their will upon others they disagree with. That is a form of violence, and one that can’t always be met with NV defense.

There are problems with the initial study, but more pressing is that reducing meat consumption also reduces plant consumption overall. Livestock needs to eat too, and they’re fed exorbitant amounts of soybeans and other agricultural products. Going vegan is legitimately better.
