NAN because, in theory, if my work is valuable enough for my company I might see improvement in my compensation. I can’t imagine that holding true through the new “tax season.” Also because I’m anti state, but were I not the previous reason still stands.

No. The previous question leaves open a number of doors: What if the work the government demands of you is something you find unethical, or unpleasant? This question eliminates those objections.

Too many jobs that are financially beneficial to private companies that don’t have much value to society generally and wouldn’t be useful in the public sector. E.g. government def. does not need as many marketing/advertising people as are currently employed by the private sector

I guess what would be your hourly wage from the company would just go to the government in that case since you are unpaid
