THREAD: What to know when tripsitting people on very high doses of acid: I used to do this a lot, like an idiot. The most common effect afterwards for very high doses (500ug+) was loss of memory, particularly if they hadn't done much acid before. I've seen total memory loss occur

4/When tripsitting people who have fast loops, you can experiment with what helps them. A few times I've had to literally sit on top of people. I was worried it might be making their trip worse, but their loop was so fast they forgot what was happening before they could be upset.

5/Try to have patience with their loops. If they're asking "where am I?" answer them, over and over and over again. If they seem to respond well to an assurance, then make that assurance over and over again. Try varying your tone, because sometimes they can still register that-

6/something weird is happening if you're saying exactly the same thing in exactly the same way two hundred times in a row. With fast loops, your goal as a tripsitter is to maintain, not to connect. You absolutely cannot connect or communicate with these people beyond-

7/the extreme, immediate basics. Don't worry too much about what you're doing; they aren't in tune with you. Make sure they don't hit their head, be a stable presence that responds immediately to things they need, and try to anticipate their needs (e.g., put a blanket on them).

8/You might think that if a trip gets too intense, you can eat a xanax and it'll kill the trip. This is often true, but keep in mind it can be extremely hard to get someone with a fast loop to actually take a pill, so don't count on that being an option beforehand.

That's the threshold, right? If the loops are smaller post-trip memory loss is even more likely?
-
Yes! And it's a gradual memory loss - the 20-30 second loop is the threshhold I've seen for complete memory loss, but there will likely be partial memory loss even down to loops as long as two minutes.
