I had a general sense that 'conservative' is to 'libertarian' as 'liberal' is to 'communist', while my intuition said that 'socialist' is much closer/already overlaping with 'liberal' too much. Idk tho this is all just feeling I'm not gonna die on this hill

US (right wing) libertarian, or European (left wing) libertarian? Or is there still a difference? Lol
-
I meant libertarian as in the general philosophy that emphasizes individual freedoms, typically while minimizing government or state power

Chose libertarian. Would’ve chosen liberal, but liberal has different connotations based on who you ask. “Classical” liberals are somewhat separate from modern moderate liberals, who are very different from establishment liberals (the gender theory/critical race theory subtype).

I mean I guess you could say I'm a conservative due to me being a monarchist and believing in strong tradition but I am very in the middle on most aspects of politics

Whatever bucket this thing falls into (political compass quizzes are bad but not as bad as single-word descriptions) https://www.politiscales.net/en_US/results/?t1=45&t0=14&b0=17&b1=29&j0=26&j1=24&p1=76&e1=57&e0=12&s0=52&s1=17&m1=67&c1=67&prag=100&femi=10 …

As you say, the single words are terrible, so don't take these too seriously. But the dimensions/levels are pretty reflective of the complexity of political ideologies.pic.twitter.com/aE2ofg6rR2
