That was the first book (of many) I was assigned in school to read, and didn't. Thank goodness my teacher liked me a lot, and I was a great writer, otherwise I might have failed out of 7th grade English.

I tried to power through it, 40 pages in and I had no idea of what was going on. 60 pages in and I was falling asleep out of boredom. I may have gotten to 70 pages before my mind melted out of my ears.
