I mean I’m a liberal or I think I am. I didn’t join the church of Wokentology when it got big. But it grosses me out people who think morals come directly from their politics.

I'm a little confused - you're talking about a phenomenon where people have tribal identities around their politics and find it indicates how good your morality is (e.g. "If you're a conservative then you're a good person)?

Yeah well people who grew up non religious don’t have the slightest clue how religious people think. So liberals tend to view in like political terms only.
