It's bad and it has been for as long as I can remember.

I suffered severe frequent (multiple times per week) sleep paralysis through my early 20s which regularly ruined my sleep quality and then it stopped. Clearly better than it used to be.

Started out horrible and has slowly slid down to "Sim character being tortured by Sid from Toy Story" over the years.

Meditation did wonders to my sleep. No more staying awake in bed for hours.

I’m still a better sleeper than most, but at 37 the trend is clear. More comfort requirements for sleeping (I used to srsly be able to sleep on the ground with a rock as a pillow), more sleep guilt, and the occasional sleepless night once every couple months.

Well, hard to answer question as given, because is it merely because of 'age', or is it because of kids, growing responsibilities, etc, that mentally and physically exhaust you, so when you go to sleep, you just CONK OUT?

Returning to grad school when I was around 30 destroyed my sleep schedule. Til then I was a perfect 7 to 8 hours every night. Been several years and some nights I just dont sleep at all. More naps and broken sleep. 5 hours in a row is a success

I'm in my 40s. From my mid-teens to my mid-20s, I was more or less an insomniac. After my mid 20s, I'm now just a log.

I sleep really well on days where I've spent time in the gym. Exhaust the body, and the mind will welcome sleep.

I've gotten worse long-term allergies as I've aged (from 0 to 'why am i stuffy all the time, am i sick, wtf' within a span of like 5 years). Those allergies mostly don't affect my sleep, but my use of antihistamines definitely does affect it.
