I might simply suggest swapping the order of the words: new A "you have a kink/fetish/paraphilia that is really nonnormative, central-to-your-deal, hard-to-complement, etc" previous order requires getting to the end of the sentence before you know wth is being talked about

Hmm, I like my wording. I would avidly watch and RT any polls in the vague neighborhood of mine, though, if anyone is so moved to formulate their own. Will nudge/ask again if I come up with something clearer that I still like!
