I have a good sense of what people *think* is my true self, and I am sometimes farther or closer to that
appreciating the reality of this is precisely what brings me peace
I think everyone has the ability to get a sense of that true self if they have any sort of profound spiritual experience that diminishes/eradicates the role of the ego (even momentarily) because that’s what the true self really is; whoever’s beyond the ego.
True self absolutely exists. Also, it gets really obvious when you're NOT that. I can go against my true self for a while, but it's highly exhausting. || I've managed to be at peace sometimes, nowadays.
Yes, albeit I almost never am my true self. Being one’s true self requires being around people who allow you to be your true self. A situation that for some, never happens or is rarely occurs. Online escapism is a common refuge for many, as a result. || No.
