I personally find it pretty unsexy if a guy has to require verbal consent before kissing me or escalating. I understand why they have to do it but for me personally it's a turnoff and signals an inability to read my body language/lack of social skills.

Probably at least 25% of my recent sexual encounters involved the other partner asking me explicitly about moving forward, despite me already appearing extremely down for sex (actively taking my clothes off, having verbalized desire for sex, etc).

Just seems bizarre, what do they think it’s a trap? Especially when someone is being so forward, it’s pretty easy to follow the logical sequence of events. Or is it there alcohol involved that they might think it merits verifying?
