more the fact that you're sitting here musing to each other about things you're incapable of understanding firsthand instead of literally just listening to the people who actually have these experiences, but what you said is more internally consistent with said circle jerk so w/e

I've learned to be skeptical of interpretation of experiences. For example, lots of people talk about what being a woman is like, but I think they're interpreting experiences in a certain way that I don't, so I know firsthand that it's okay to be skeptical of reported experience.

I'm not saying they *can't*; I'm trying to balance "maybe these people are onto some legitimately 100% new sense" vs "maybe they're engaging in a frame that's not inherent and can be critiqued" is hard to know

Some are, some aren't? I don't think we should immediately dismiss the idea that homosexuality is due to trauma (though I personally suspect in the vast majority of cases it's not due to trauma).
