This is the most incoherent thing I’ve read in a while. There’s hardly any discussion of dysphoria or bodies but lots of talk about fashion. These people think “gender identity” is something akin to the soul but the way they talk about it is pure style.

I'm increasingly viewing non-binaryness as more an expression of trauma and a desire to be understood as not a typical [insert birth sex here], and less to do about gender itself at all.

Yes. With a heavy dose of reinforcing sex-based stereotypes on the side.

Yes, but also just a desire to be different and stand out from the crowd. It’s not unusual, particularly among young people.

I don't understand what a gender is then. What do you mean by gender?

"Gender" is legitimizing stereotypes.
Any "gender" is either a stereotype, or a variation of a stereotype.
Sterotypes used to be considered a bad thing. Now they are a goal.

That's funny, I'm increasingly viewing gender as indefinable and probably not useful.
this ain't it
not only is this not it, you should probably refrain from "I think some people are this gender identity because x"
it never ends well
