The popularity of astrology is one of the few things that makes me feel really despondent about current culture. It seems such low hanging fruit for even a basic amount of self-skepticism. Can any astrology supporters explain why they believe it?

I'm not that into it, but astrology isn't reading your horoscope in a magazine... yes your sign is related to personality traits. But your individual chart based on the exact hour and place you were born is much deeper. You can do it yourself online and learn to read it.
