The popularity of astrology is one of the few things that makes me feel really despondent about current culture. It seems such low hanging fruit for even a basic amount of self-skepticism. Can any astrology supporters explain why they believe it?

#astrology is essentially not a belief (like a religion) it has more to do with direct experience, and very few can actually interpret properly... it's never helpful to go into anytime with a closed mind

How do you directly experience a *system of thought that corresponds certain personality traits to the stars*? I am *extremely* skeptical of any claims that translate a belief into a direct experience. That throws up so many warning flags

because astrology is NOT personality traits...it's depth psychology...representing a past prior to birth, and how that influences (unconsciously) the circumstances and choices currently... validation of that is direct experience
