The popularity of astrology is one of the few things that makes me feel really despondent about current culture. It seems such low hanging fruit for even a basic amount of self-skepticism. Can any astrology supporters explain why they believe it?

the combination is kind of potent i think— something cyclical matched with something generative smoothes out the range of narrative/analytic possibilities over time? i’ve found them both good scaffoldings for a number of really powerful conversations, but usually not online.

have owned a tarot deck that included the signs and elements as cards. the archetypes work *really* well in the context of daily card draws for contemplation.
