I went to a mensa meetup once and came away extremely unimpressed. It might be simply age, though? Most mensa members are older, and fast reasoning declines with age.

Tell Isaac Asimov or Albert Einstein that. Generally true though. I'm 67. When I was ten I could easily do long division and 3, 4 place multiplication in my head. Requires a little more concentration now, and really wouldn't try to go past 3 places. Probably could if pushed.
